lived in Lawrence Terrace, Lucknow
for the next 24 years (approx).
He was survived by his wife
and four (?) daughters. His
son Peter, a teenager,
had died in 1959 in a shooting
accident.

Dr Humm was a dental surgeon
who lived on Abbott Road in
pre-Independent India. He died
at his residence on Shahnajaf Road.
This blogger attended the funeral as
a pall-bearer along with other students
 of La Martiniere College at the request of
Mr AC Grice, MLA. There was a brief
delay in the burial because, we
were told, Dr Humm being a
Freemason time was given in case
the masons wanted to participate
in the graveside rituals. It went
ahead as a normal Christian
funeral when no one turned up.
