A tribute to Wilmot Simeon
Married with two children Alice and Matthew , and with two Grand Children Chloe and Yazmyn , Wilmot attended Calcutta Martiniere (Hastings House 1944-1952). He was House Captain in 1952 and represented the School in cricket, hockey and rugby; being awarded school colours for cricket. On leaving school in 1952 he completed a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1955. After an apprenticeship and service with ICI Calcutta, Wilmot emigrated to the UK in 1963. There he continued his career in Process Plant Design. After a spell of twenty years in England, Wilmot moved to Perth, Australia in 1982. Here he pursued his profession with considerable success. In his spare time Wilmot enjoyed golf and gardening. He was an active member of the Old Martinians Association in Perth for many years and always staunch Martinian. After a short stay in hospital he passed away peacefully on Friday 16 August 2019. He will be sadly missed by family and friends
