In Lucknow, as in other parts of the world, graves mean little to some people, but a search on the internet proves otherwise! What one will find on this blog isn't even 'a drop in the vast ocean' of tears that would have been shed if it were possible to calculate. This is another grave that is crumbling. A side stone panel has fallen out or has been deliberately removed and now its a matter of time, if it isn't repaired it will collapse. Elizabeth Anne Ouseley who died Nov 14, 1857 was the wife of Ralph Ouseley.

These graves are falling apart - what can be done? The ASI aren't able to look after them and once the names disappear an important link with history is lost.
