The upkeep of graves of war veterans is funded by the Commonwealth wargraves Commission. Below is a grave under renovation. The same is being carried out at the Bandariabagh Cem in Lucknow. The funds are obviously limited so one wonders how many graves get done and
how many just disappear!!
(Buried in the Nainital Cemetery: The inscription
is illegible. The pic was taken in May 2012 when I
visited Nainital for the first time. Unfortunately I lost
the notebook in which I written details from the graves.
