In Lucknow, as in other parts of the world, graves mean little to some people, but a search on the internet proves otherwise! What one will find on this blog isn't even 'a drop in the vast ocean' of tears that would have been shed if it were possible to calculate. The names, the sad poetry, quotes and expression of grief of the loved ones all being ground to dust.
"...We always say that the history of a parish is in its graveyards..." Passage West (from a blog and book by Jim Murphy)

Barbara A Williams 1931 -- 2012
BARBARA AUDREY WILLIAMS BORN 11TH JULY 1931 DIED 28TH JUNE 2012 ** Siblings: Oliver Williams, Hazel w/o Lionel Clarkson, Beryl w/o Paul Antunis, Kathleen w/o Frederick Marazzi
Hi George, Do you know if this is a sister of Beryl Williams Antunis (wife of Paul) and Hazel Ckarkson nee Williams? Any mourners' names? Hazel and her husband Lionel Clarkson were my parents' neighbours in the early '50s in Alambagh. Hazel died in around 1956 and was buried in the Cantt cemetery.Ny Mum's diaries mention Hazel's sister Barbara -- wonder if this is the same person and if so, who took care of her in her old age, as she doesn't appear to have married and Beryl had no children. Perhaps there were more siblings? I think the Clarkson children had no contact with their mother's family after their father remarried. There are so few contemporaries of my Mum's who are still alive. Most of them died quite young, as did she, so if I had known she was still alive, I could have visited her in 2003, when I visited Lucknow. Cheers, Glenda
Hi Glenda My father was Oliver Williams, elder brother to Hazel, Beryl, Kathleen and Barbara Williams. My aunt hazel was married to Lionel Clarkson. Aunty beryl married Paul Antunis. Aunty Kathleen married Frederick Marazzi. Aunty Barbara never married. She was staying at the DC Homes when she died. I married Adrian Daniel-Palmer who passed away in 1996. What is your full name? The only Glenda I can recall is Glenda booth.
Hi Eileen, Thanks for your reply -- I am Glenda Booth, now Singh. Please write to me at michelle.glenda@gmail.com -- would love to hear from you. Regards, Glenda
