Paul could Lavinia Teasdale, the Principal, La Martiniere Girls School, Lucknow for the year 1907-- 1908 have been George Horatio Teasdale's aunt? I thought I wasn't supposed to post the photos of the three graves you sent me yet every time I see them I wonder why you have sent them to me in the first place?

ReplyDeleteMummy & Daddy were Kathleen Marjorie Teasdale & George Horatio Hashman Teasdale. Kathleen was my Grandad's first wife. My paternal grandmother was George's second wife.
ReplyDeleteHi Paul,
DeleteJust seen your March 12, 2016 comment on my blog regarding the Teasdale grave. I guess you must have seen the graves of George D Teasdale died 1937 and Adel Rose Teasdale died 1942! Any relations to you? Till the 1940s there was a police officer Teasdale in Lucknow but I cannot remember his initials. My blog came too late, long after my dad and others who would remember have gone.
There are/were Teasdales in Mussoorie.
Will be happy to have any details.

Sorry just seen this. Yes - these are George Horatio Hashman Teasdale parents so my great grandparents. GHH Teasdale was a policeman in Lucknow....he ended his police career as Chief of Police in Delhi. He moved to England & died in 1966 buried in Portsmouth.
DeleteThe Mussoorie family was Tindale. I remembered this later
