(Jumbo was married to Noreen, daughter of Mr Hubert Dalton Larkins. She moved to South Africa with her sister, Beatrice (Betty) Dignum. She passed on a couple of years ago. Jumbo was a popular figure on the Lucknow golf course and in his earlier days, besides other games, played tennis. He also, like most of his in-laws, worked at La Martiniere College, Lucknow)
