In Lucknow, as in other parts of the world, graves mean little to some people, but a search on the internet proves otherwise! What one will find on this blog isn't even 'a drop in the vast ocean' of tears that would have been shed if it were possible to calculate. The names, the sad poetry, quotes and expression of grief of the loved ones all being ground to dust.

Rev Thomas Singh died 1934
Sacred to the Memory of REV THOMAS SINGH WELL BELOVED PASTOR OF WESLEYAN METHODIST CHURCH LUCKNOW HE DIED SERVING JULY 9TH 1934 FATHER IN THY GRACIOUS KEEPING LEAVE WE NOW THY SERVANT SLEEPING SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE ERECTED BY HIS DEVOTED FRIENDS
Late Rev. Thomas Singh was my grandfather who last served at Wesleyan Methodist Church, 31 B.N. Road, Lucknow. His father late Rev. Mangal Singh and son late Rev. Cecil Singh were also pastors. Late Rev. Cecil Singh who last served at St. Peter's Church, Lucknow, was my father. Thanks a lot for posting the photo of my grandfather's grave which lies in Nishatganj Cemetry, Lucknow.
