died 1942 and buried in this
cemetery.
Raja Sir Maharaj Singh, (Wiki link) son of
Harnam Singh, was Governor
of Bombay state 1948-1952.

I don not know whether the Raja
provided funds or land for the establishment
of a school in his name, but one is being
run in his name by the Christ Church College,
Lucknow at the Epiphany Church, Lucknow.
No where in the world will one find such
generosity treated with such disdain! The
fact is that the CCC authorities have never
asked themselves: Who was Raja Maharaj Singh?
Where did he die? Was he a Christian?
And, that too in today's world!!!
