Wife of a guard on the Rly,
Dennis Henry McGowan Bayley,
and mother of Vivian (Parnham),
Dennis, Denzil and Eva Herne also
Clarkson.
While all three of Vera's sons
served on the railway, Vivian
quit to go abroad and Dennis
and Denzil retired as drivers
on the NER.
