Col Daniell, who took over as Principal,
La Martiniere College, Lucknow from
Mr Meredith Doutre in circa 1964, was
the Founder-Principal of the Lucknow
Sainik School prior to joining the Mart.
The Col, from what I can recall, passed 
away in Pune and his ashes were
brought to Lucknow for burial. Molly
is buried in the Nishatganj Cemetery.
One can see that the guy who did the 
engraving didn't know there was a right
and wrong end

to a shield!!
